“….But, I don’t have the time!

CoachwithVrushali · December 9, 2024 ·

and yet it will be comforting to have a loyal companion for life!”

dog parent

Ummmm… dear busy working career oriented friend
The word you are looking for is dog…. adopted dog 🐶
rehomed dog 🐶
rescue dog 🐶

Before you say anything, just Look 😊 at Moss
and his smiling human in the image above.

Now, adult dogs come to their family
with a Lot of life experience already under their collars.

So if you have questions such as:

♡ Will my life be better with a dog?
♡ When should I own a dog?
♡ I have a busy schedule. How do I know I can take care of a dog?

Then this post is very helpful!

Adult dogs have typically graduated
from the frisky, high-energy puppy phase and

are ready to settle into a routine.

They most always come to you, already house trained and
with some semblance of basic obedience skills

With the right parenting support, Adult Rescue dogs
can make wonderful companions to
goal-oriented senior managers
who want to continue to thrive at work
and also come home to a loving family

Like my Marshal, who adjusted into my family dynamics within the first 30 days.

To the point of even allowing me to open his mouth and
slip in the occasional medicine pill!!

Headsup!!! the 🎧audio is in Hindi language for my regional pet parent friends.

if you don’t need that distraction, turn 🔇OFF the audio!

💩Disgusting? 😵Curious??

we welcome your thoughts!

Adopting an adult dog has been… hands down; one of
my most rewarding experiences as a pet owner!

With a little effort, you can have this for yourself!!!!

Such dogs require very little (yet consistent!) training

Plus, you get Maximum loving companionship

without jumping through too many dog training hoops!

Go ahead and spend time getting to know
your new grown-up furry friend,
establish healthy routines and boundaries,
and bond with them!

So how SHOULD one prioritise what is important
as a goal oriented pet parent?!
What about this would give you the advantage to
really thrive at work and buy back family time?!

Are you open to an experiment starting Right Now?
For the next 7 days, repeat 3 steps daily.
On day 8, send me your results.

What you will need:-
  • Anything to take notes. Pen+Journal,
A notes app on your phone, Dictate to Siri, etc
  • 20 minutes time twice a day for 7 days
What you will not need:-
  • Any fancy apps
  • Time tracker
  • Special food plan
  • Special sleep habits
  • The need to learn meditation
Okay! Here is Step 1:-
  • When you have time during the day, observe your pet’s behaviour.
Now really give this some thought; because
we take a lot of their behaviour characteristics for granted.
  • I will give you an example so that your mind perspective changes.
My consultation calls are timed for 45 minutes.
And because we have such interesting discussions,
they are very engrossing and animated.
At the 50 minute mark I notice Blossom begins her odd behaviour.
Until now, she was sleeping, drinking water doing her own thing.
Now, she yawns, stretches, paces in front of me continually.
    Its so disturbing!
Now I know it is my cue that I am going over time
and I need to start winding down!
  • Make a note of such behaviour.
Now for Step 2:-
  • At moments in the day when you feel stress rising,
look at pictures of your pet.
  • Think about their recent odd behaviour and
imagine them doing this right now.
  • Does it make you smile?!
Finally, Step 3:-
  • As you wind down for the day, think about TWO experiences
    you had during the day.
One positive and One unpleasant and give gratitude to both moments.
You see, both helped you learn from them.
  • Write down the 2 gratitudes’.

That’s it.
On day 8, you should have 14 gratitudes’ to send me as confirmation that you did the 3 steps!
Here is an extra incentive for you! My dog Blossom gets an EXTRA treat
for every 14 gratitudes. Yes, I will send you a picture with the time stamp!

I am also happy to receive text chats from you on social media during the 7 days.

Because you find my method helpful, how do you feel
about gifting a pet parenting eBook to a friend / colleague?

To give them some Major support?!

Many people are led to believe
that adopting adult dogs means
a lot of training and behavioral issues, but
my personal experiences
as recorded in the eBook proves otherwise.

I get snuggles on the couch,
steady walks around the neighborhood with Marshal

when it comes to the love and joy
that a furry friend can bring into our lives.

That’s all for now.

Living a sustainable pet friendly lifestyle is ACHIEVABLE

The methods I chose include:

Ever since Blossom came home as a 2 month

old puppy in April 2018, I have been fascinated by her intelligence and unique personality.

Family dogs have been a part of our lives for

centuries, our loyal companions and very best friends.

When our normally gentle; loving fur babies display

temperamental behaviors, it is hurtful, puzzling and difficult

to understand. Which makes it hard to look for a resolution.

This struggle is what led me to

explore, learn, study and practise telepathic conversations.

My dog keeps making a mess.. Help!

CoachwithVrushali · June 28, 2024 ·

Hanna is having a tiresome week because of her dogs, and we talked her through it.

dog made a mess

What happened:-

While Hanna goes to work, her 2 dogs stay home with the rest of the family- a mum, sister and boyfriend.

She has a loving happy relationship with them that’s 8 years strong…. with only 1 complaint.

“Can you not leave smelly presents; howl the place down when I go to work?!”

After a tiring day at work, Hanna wants to look forward to being with her dogs.

Hello friend! Thanks for stopping by! What are YOU doing this week?

🎙Tell us your plans?

Speak it out right here!

Cool! Now back to Hanna’s situation!

I looked up some scientific research that’s been done. It says “science proves that my family dog can help:

💚IMPROVE cardiovascular health

💚DECREASE stress and lower blood pressure”

Just think how much better Hanna can do at work; even considering corporate pressure situations!

…If only her dear dogs cooperated!

Hanna rightly looks forward to lots of happy time with her 2 dogs, Daisy and Rosy.

Our Objective:-

1. Give Hanna simple techniques to implement in order to lower her stress

2. Have a telepathic dialogue with her dogs to find out what’s going on and reach some sort of understanding.

Initial findings based on complaints:-

1. The dogs were not Made Aware When they Did a good job.

They didn’t know this is good behavior.

2. Sudden changes in routine were confusing.

We decided to keep trying for atleast 7 days at a stretch and observe the dogs’ understanding capability.

3. Keep a close watch on them at All times.

And when unsupervised, loose leash-tie them.

Progress check:-

1. No potty accidents at night!

2. 1 dog was observed to have anxiety and fear behaviors that make it seem like she’s stubborn and dumb.

3. Humans now starting to understand the training and conversation gaps that were causing the dogs’ misbehavior.

We asked Hanna, “How did this make her day better?” And she replied:

It helps because then, me and my family don’t come home to pee smell in the house😍 It’s wonderful! ⭐⭐⭐

Parenting Rescue dogs – What do I need to be alert about?

CoachwithVrushali · June 13, 2024 ·

2 aspects that could be considered risks to keep in mind
before adopting a rescue dog include:

1. You may never know their medical and
psychological history or breed lineage

2. You always have to stay alert in every type of situation
when parenting a rescue dog

via Imgflip

After that scare, let me give you a more realistic balanced picture ‘MKay!
It’s good to know, all the ⤵️following comes from
personal experience as a rescue dog mum.
Marshal welcomed us as his family in December 2018

Here are some of the assumptions we made,
and what was validated and factual.
Assumption 1: We were told ”he is a puppy”

After the adoption process was complete, I took him straight to
my known practicing veterinarian.
She is a professional, caring, straightforward doctor and I knew that
her expertise would serve us well.

“Vrushali, his testicles are descended. This indicates he is
not a puppy. Also, look at his teeth, these are not milk teeth like a puppy would have”

Now, did I ‘return’ this dog in outrage. Hard no!
Here is how I knew. This may not work for you, but
there is Some Way that will! I call that telepathy energy guidance.
Because for me, the moment Marshal was brought on display,
my heart skipped a beat- I knew Marshal was meant to be with my family.

Blog Page About us picture vanddogs

I was thinking to myself “how long will it take for this rescue dog to feel comfortable after being rehomed”

I was getting too far ahead!
Here is my advise: When in doubt and fatigued- my mantra is
take one step at a time.
Just 1 step. Because even an entire day might become too much!

adopting an older dog tips

And this is just one of the reasons why I decided to document
all my dog parenting learnings
in an eBook.
🐶Marshal made our family complete💝

This eBook is available for purchase at ten dollars

Now, it is a known fact, scientifically proven that dogs
improve mental health. Pet dogs teach us about responsibility.

I experienced this too.

And I want fellow pet parents to know about this,
to be aware about pet parenting, how to parent a rescue dog.

So here is my suggestion, read about rescue shelters carefully
as you go about in search of your rescue dog.
Ask questions- genuine shelters are always
happy to answer well thought-out questions. It shows them that you care too!

I have a helpful guidebook as a 9 dollar resource to get you started.

adopting an older dog tips

And ofcourse, you can purchase my eBook and be sure to get LOTS of support from me about pet parenting a rescue dog.

💞To you it’s just one dog, to that one dog you are their entire world🌍🐶💞

Bonus resource:- there are 3 important factors
I always keep in mind when caring for my older rescue dog, Marshal.

  1. Always carry a first aid kit.
  2. Attach a bold and clear ‘dog in training’ leash tag when walking the dog.
  3. Keep your adult rescue dog leashed for their own safety in unfamiliar surroundings.

Further precaution as a pet parent to a rescue dog:
Page 29 of my eBook has a short curt paragraph that reads:

“While on this topic, I shall slide in 2 Extra points.”
That’s because as a pet parent and
practicing interspecies telepathy communicator, I am tired of
putting out anxiety fires when pet parents reach out to me in tears
saying. “the loud noise spooked him and he just slipped out of the collar and disappeared. Where’s my baby”
and the really really sad one during 4th of July “I locked the windows but I went to get the door and she just bolted out. I have been searching all week, no sign of her”

In summary, older adopted dogs are a sweet spicy delight and
totally worth the initial slow introduction into your family.

I always encourage feedback and reply to any clarifications you may ask.

Have a great day 😃

The Hardest part of Parenting an Older Rescue Dog

CoachwithVrushali · June 4, 2024 ·

Is that the doubts about their actual behavior are always a niggling worry.

About us picture vanddogs

While it is important to remember this and always stay confidently alert for the safety of this new family member, there is a measure of relief.

When parenting an older rescue dog, it is imperative and extremely
beneficial to provide them with a safe space to
explore, react, learn, and adjust to new situations.

Here is a personal experience that I recall. This is not even
outside my home with other elements of distraction.
When my family moved homes; in the same city to a
different neighborhood, I expected that toilet training would be
challenging for our rescue dog, Marshal.
You see, Marshal is a Catalan Sheepdog, a jumper, herder.

While breed does matter, it isn’t everything
in a rehomed older rescue dog.

I did not know Marshal’s breed when I
started training him as a rehomed older rescue dog.

There were very little cues with which I could gauge on
how well this rescue dog was settling into our family.

So, I did the best I could; gave Marshal time to adjust, looked into
different rescue dog training options, worked on his toilet training.
All one day at a time.

My patience, faith and consistence worked!
From the day we moved homes, Marshal sniffed around the designated toilet area (the dogs use our human squat toilet space and I flush the poo) and began using it.

This experience taught me a lot about caring
for a rescue dog. And how to know if my rehomed older dog is happy.

As a responsible pet parent, this is an example that there are
certain things to think about before adopting an adult rescue dog.

Marshal may have come to us as an older rescue dog. Yet his special ways
made him a family member from the moment I walked out the
local rescue shelter with him.

3 important factors I always keep in mind when caring for Marshal, are:

  1. Always carry a first aid kit.
  2. Attach a bold and clear ‘dog in training’ leash tag when I walk Marshal.
  3. Keep him leashed (mainly for his own safety) in unfamiliar surroundings.

Marshal’s personality, the journey he went through and how he
blossomed with our faith and love inspired me to
publish his story and educate fellow pet parents on

how to be a pet parent to rescue older dogs,
how long does it take for a dog to feel comfortable after being rehomed,
what are red flags when adopting such a dog, etc.

This eBook is available for purchase at ten dollars

adopting an older dog tips

On page 29 of my eBook, there is a short curt paragraph highlighting the importance of the 3 important factors I state above.

That’s because as a pet parent and practicing interspecies telepathy communicator, I am saddened by the volume of anxious calls I receive, the
anxiety when pet parents reach out to me in tears saying
“the loud noise spooked him and he just slipped out of the collar and disappeared. Where’s my baby”
Or the DM’s on 4th of July “I locked the windows but I went to answer the door and she just bolted out. I have been searching all week, no sign of her”

1 of the wonderful perks of adopting an older dog is that
they often come with some existing training.

Now it is up to us, as their responsible pet parent to stay alert about
their safety while showering them with love and affection.

In summary, older adopted dogs are a sweet spicy delight and
totally worth the initial slow introduction into your family.

Does this post get you excited, hopeful, willing to take 1 step towards
thinking about it?
